On May 9th Gentle Lion Participated in the Deschutes County Veterans Benefit Expo at the Redmond VFW. We provide services to the Vets and talked with veterans about how they can receive services from Gentle Lion. A great way to network within the local community!

On May 1st, we started the Gentle Lioness classes with Shelley and had a packed house. On May 9th the Anger and Stress Management class started with Lamont. Really encouraging to dig in with the ladies and see some great training, ministry and healing start to happen. Our ongoing Gentle Lion Classes have been great...with growing numbers at our lunch bunch. The warmer weather has allowed us to open up the hanger door and enjoy the fresh air. We're working with the Veteran's to be a resource for mental and emotional health. Here are several pictures from the COVC on April 11th, when Lamont is sharing the mission and vision of Gentle Lion. We have some new classes staring and have been having some great times of fellowship at the Gentle Lion Headquarters lately. Hope you can join us soon. Check out what's going on by going to our events page at: www.GentleLion.org/Events Gentle Lion leaders participated in today's Central Oregon Prayer Breakfast, where we had a full table, our own Jacob plugged Gentle Lion from the stage as a local ministry addressing the fatherhood crisis in our country, and we spread the word about the Gentle Lion programs through new print materials at each table and at our booth. Things are moving fast, doors are opening, the message is getting out! Thanks to Brad from Crystal Peaks, we met with Darlene. She is an advocate for what Gentle Lion is all about, and sees the need for both the men and women in active duty and veterans. Because of our time together, meeting together at this beautiful ranch, we hope that many will learn about and connect with the resources that Gentle Lion can offer. Very thankful for this meeting! Will keep you posted as we have more opportunities to reach out to the Veterans in our community. On Tuesday night March 13th, we had our first Gentle Lioness meeting with our team. Plans are now underway for a May 1 launch date with the women of Gentle Lion. Our goal is to start a 6:30 pm class to equip, encourage and inspire ladies in our community who are looking for a group where they can grow and learn more about how to become better wives, mothers and individuals. We've had several good meetings with pastors and leaders from Bend and Central Oregon. Anger and Stress Management Group: This is one of the most power-packed groups that you can join. Lamont breaks down mature coping skills and gives so many practical pointer each time we meet that you won't walk away disappointed. Here are some pictures from our first class. |
